Connie Pretula, menopause nutritionist in Vancouver BC helping women over 40 feel better during menopause

I Love Being In Menopause,

I  Feel Better At 64 Than I Did In My 40s

I hear so many women 40 and over say they think it is too late to make changes in their lives and many women 60 and over have lost hope. Many think they will never regain their energy or feel good in their body again.

I believe we can regain our health. Why do I believe that? Even though I was eating healthy whole foods, I was 52 years old and in pain 24/7, I felt defeated and was falling into a deep depression. Once I started to look at all aspects of my life, a holistic view, I then started to uncover what needed to change.

I can say, I feel better at 64 (turned 64 August 2025) than I did in my 40s and early 50s.

Our bodies are amazing and given the right holistic support, they can heal.

Sweet Words

For me, the greatest honour is my clients trusting me with their health. I feel so blessed when they take time to express in words how I have helped them. I love what I do and why I do it.

“I have known Connie for a few years now. Connie‘s most noticeable quality as a nutritionist is being non-judgmental. Connie‘s genuine belief in her work translates into a very holistic approach. Not only does she look at the “scientific facts “ of nutrition, but she also respects the emotional, mental, and “spiritual” views of an individual. She can then incorporate her knowledge of nutrition to match her client’s lifestyle. Connie will complete extensive research on various modalities in order to find the best approach to a client’s journey to return to health. I appreciate immensely the fact that she listens to my concerns and doesn’t dismiss my comments. Connie always responds to any inquiries immediately, which depicts her genuine concern and willingness to help. One of Connie‘s recommendations has helped me manage a condition for which I had many years of unsuccessful treatment. Thank you, Connie, for your ongoing support.”

Warmest regards, Janette Parent

“The talk that Connie Pretula gave on May 10th was a real ‘eye-opener’ especially for women in their late 50s and well into their 60s, as I am personally 67 years of age. She mentioned that nutrition is one’s foundation and how choosing the right foods will help empower you. “If one gets enough protein, one will not eat as many carbs.” I truly believe that I was meant to be at this workshop on this day. Thank you, Connie!

Who knew transformation could take place in a grocery aisle?! Whilst on a grocery shopping education tour, I learned new ways to read labels and choose foods. I am truly grateful that Connie’s extensive knowledge, expertise in health and nutrition, as well as her deep empathy and life experience, are offered with the full commitment to guide and support me on this journey. My experience with her has been, and continues to be, incredibly transformative and inspiring!

I’ve been working with Connie for well over a year now, and in that time, I have gotten the amazing benefits of feeling better internally and externally. With Connie’s guidance and coaching, we have managed to get my weight and health in check. Who knew that actually eating more food would help me lose the weight! Well, Connie did! Thank you so much for helping me feel and look better than I have in years!

I met Connie at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. We were taking the same classes, and we were both over the age of 50. Connie and I had the same background in bodybuilding. One day, Connie asked me, “Why do you always put yourself down?” I didn’t even realize that I did that. Connie brought to light that I need to be gentle with myself, forgive myself, love myself, and do the best I can. Her words of encouragement are etched in my mind. I am grateful we crossed paths.

Much Love and Hugs – Petra

My daughters hired Connie to help me improve my nutrition after having stents inserted in my arteries. My wife and I appreciated that she was very empathetic to our preference for our cultural diet of vegetarian Indian food. Connie was very interested to learn what we enjoy and found recipes that could be Indianized while being healthy. We learned that simple changes can make a big difference. I learned, even later in life, that change is possible and with the right support and guidance, it does happen. Even though the changes were for my heart health, I noticed my joints don’t ache as much, and I have more flexibility. The best part is, I never feel hungry or deprived, and we are still enjoying delicious Indian food that is good for my health.
